About the Role As a Senior Manager in our Impact Lending team, you’ll be responsible for originating, structuring and executing commercial and impact lending opportunities, with a strong emphasis on proactive business development. You’ll cultivate relationships with existing and prospective customers, intermediaries, sector partners and co‑funders, and translate those relationships into well‑structured lending proposals aligned with Bank Australia’s risk appetite and impact priorities. Deals often involve layered capital structures - combining senior debt, subordinated debt, grants, philanthropy or equity - and require thoughtful structuring, strong credit judgement and collaborative execution. Key Responsibilities Proactively identify, originate and progress new commercial and impact lending opportunities. Build and maintain a strong pipeline through active relationship management, networking and sector engagement. Structure lending solutions tailored to customer needs and impact outcomes, including complex or multi‑layered capital stacks. Lead deals end‑to‑end: from origination and due diligence through to credit approval, documentation and financial close. Prepare and present high‑quality credit submissions in collaboration with risk, legal and other internal stakeholders. Develop deep, long‑term relationships with customers and external stakeholders across priority impact sectors. Contribute to the evolution of Bank Australia’s impact and commercial lending strategy, including sector focus and product development. Act as a senior team member, sharing knowledge and supporting capability development within the team. What You’ll Bring Extensive experience in commercial, mid‑market or corporate lending, including origination and structuring. Demonstrated success in business development and relationship management, with the ability to generate and convert new opportunities. Strong credit analysis, sound risk judgement, and a track record of successful deal execution. Experience in property, infrastructure, project finance or purpose‑led sectors will be highly regarded, but is not essential. Curiosity about – or commitment to – social and environmental impact, and how finance can enable it.
