Theatre Technician
Permanent Part Time or Full Time – Up to 80 hours per fortnight
Classification: Dependent on Qualifications and Experience
Award: Victorian Public Health Sector (Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers) Single Interest Enterprise Agreement 2021 - 2025
This is a great opportunity for a qualified theatre technician to join our Theatre team, working in a permanent position. In this role, you will be responsible for attending to duties in a manner that contributes to the promotion and delivery of a high standard of client care, recognising and acting in accordance with the legal requirements and policies and procedures of MDHS.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Qualifications / Experience
8. Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Operating Theatre Technical Support) or equivalent, and
9. Minimum 12 months experience as a Theatre Technician.
Specialist Expertise
10. Ability to perform duties required while rotating through all surgical specialties offered in the operating suite.
11. Understanding of the importance of all standards and policies relevant to the Operating Theatre
12. Excellent computer skills
13. Understanding of the importance of prioritised equipment
14. Be competent in performing the role of a Theatre Technician
15. Demonstrated evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development to ensure working within current scope of practice.
