We're looking for a confident, hands‑on hospitality professional ready to take the next step in their career with our growing Hotel Group.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Assistant Manager, Duty Manager or Operations‑focused Pub Manager who's ready to step up into a full Venue Manager position. You'll have the support of an Area Manager and a strong head office team.
About the Venue
We are a busy suburban pub, located on the southern side of Newcastle, with a loyal local crowd.
The site includes:
A large bistro with family‑friendly focus
TAB and Gaming
Sports bar with a strong local following
Drive‑through bottleshop
We've got big plans for the venue in 2026 and are looking for a manager who can lead the team through its next stage of growth.
What You'll Do
Lead day‑to‑day venue operations across bar, bistro, gaming and bottleshop.
Manage and mentor a team of department managers and supervisors.
Drive sales performance, profitability and compliance.
Champion great service and a positive workplace culture.
Oversee rostering, training, and venue presentation.
Work closely with head office on marketing, events and community partnerships.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience as a 2IC, Assistant Manager, or senior Duty Manager in a pub or large hospitality venue.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Understanding of financial performance and compliance requirements.
A people‑first attitude – you lead from the front and support your team.
RSA, RCG, ARCG and TAB compliance certificates (required).
A passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences.
