YOUR NEW ROLE:

The Allied Health Clinician (Paediatric Occupational Therapist) works within the School Readiness Allied Health team, providing capacity-building support to early childhood education services across Seymour and the broader Goulburn region (within approximately one hour of Seymour).

Funded by the Department of Education, the School Readiness Allied Health Program supports educators and families to build their capacity to assist young children in the areas of wellbeing, communication, and access and inclusion.

In this role, you will partner with educators and families to strengthen their ability to support children's participation and development. This includes coaching, modelling, group training, case consultation, and other discipline-specific approaches.

You will be supported through collaboration with a broader paediatric allied health team, including Speech Pathologists, Psychologists and Occupational Therapists.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Engage purposefully with kindergarten educators to identify and support children's skill development as they prepare for school

• Provide secondary consultation through coaching across multiple formats, including in-person, online, phone and email

• Deliver discipline-specific support to enhance children's participation, including emotional regulation, sensory processing, self-care, and motor development, through coaching, resources and workshops, using a neuroaffirming and trauma-informed lens to support inclusion across kindergarten environments.

• Work collaboratively with other disciplines within the team to provide a high quality multi-disciplinary service.

• Effectively manage a caseload through organisation of appointments, handover of services for discipline-specific support and/or joint delivery of sessions.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to support coordinated and consistent service delivery.

• Experience working in paediatric allied health settings, with experience in kindergarten settings an advantage

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team to develop and implement evidence-based supports that meet the goals and desired outcomes for children, families and educators

• An openness to working in a capability-building and coaching role with educators and families to promote skills and knowledge of child development

• A current driver's licence and access to a reliable personal vehicle (travel to kindergarten services required)

WHAT WE OFFER:

• Flexible work arrangements that support work-life balance

• 5 weeks annual leave + rostered days off

• 14 weeks paid parental leave

• $1,500 home office setup + standard home office equipment
