Ecology Leader

This exciting opportunity calls for a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee the ecology team, providing guidance and coaching to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement strategies to secure and manage workload for the ecology team.
* Lead key proposals and assist with resource allocation to drive business growth.
* Plan, schedule, and conduct field surveys, allocating team members and resources as needed.
* Ensure the technical soundness of work produced by the team and maintain herbarium specimens.
* Deliver high-quality services that meet scope, quality, and budget requirements, including timely invoicing of projects.
* Engage staff and lead quarterly performance reviews to drive team success.
Requirements:
* Bachelor degree qualification in environmental science or ecology discipline.
* 10+ years' relevant experience consulting experience as a botanist, preferably within Western Australia.
* Current drivers' licence (C class), manual preferred.
* Proven experience managing teams (typically 6-10 team members) or leading field survey teams.
* Ability to coach, support, and direct team members to achieve effective client outcomes.
* Sound understanding of current environmental issues and legislation.
* Proven experience in proposal development and project management.
