About the Role
Due to continued growth and increased processing capacity, we are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our operations team. This is a hands-on role supporting our heavy mobile plant, diesel engines, trucks, and industrial processing equipment across our Queensland facilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain diesel engines, transmissions, fuel systems, braking systems, and hydraulic systems
* Conduct scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on:
* Heavy rigid trucks and B-double prime movers
* Mobile plant and material-handling equipment
* Diesel-powered industrial machinery and processing equipment
* Identify mechanical faults using diagnostic tools and manuals, and carry out repairs efficiently
* Overhaul engines and major components as required
* Perform welding, fabrication, and component replacement where necessary
* Maintain accurate service records and maintenance reports
* Ensure all work complies with WHS, environmental, and safety standards
* Work collaboratively with operations and engineering teams to minimise downtime
What We're Looking For
* Trade qualification as a Diesel Motor Mechanic (or equivalent)
* Proven experience working with heavy diesel vehicles, plant, or industrial equipment
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and compliance
* Experience in mining, recycling, manufacturing, or heavy industry environments (highly regarded)
