At its core, RACV is the largest member organisation in Victoria, trusted to be there for over 2 million members.About the opportunity: As the Senior Mobile Engineer for Technology, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the RACV Mobile App and will pair with offshore and onsite development teams to build apps and features using the latest technology.Responsibilities Design, implement, and test mobile applications for both Android and iOS platforms.
Contribute and maintain Azure DevOps pipeline.
Ensure code quality by contributing to and participating in code reviews.
Ensure code developed is in line with RACV security guidelines.
Participate in the entire application development lifecycle, focusing on development and debugging where necessary.
Have intermediate to advanced experience with application architecture, mobile design patterns, concurrency, and performance.
Learn and implement new development technologies as required.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to create seamless mobile experiences.
Collaborate with a multi-vendor development team and maintain code quality.
Be passionate about mobile technologies, enjoy problem-solving, and pursue growth in a collaborative environment.
Debug and troubleshoot integration issues with the Azure Integration Layer.
Mentor junior developers, provide responsive support, and undertake corrective action within areas of specialization.What you'll need to be successful Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, Mathematics, Computer Systems or equivalent experience (desirable).
7+ years of experience developing native mobile applications using Java and Kotlin (Android) and/or Swift (iOS).
Experience with Android Studio and/or Xcode.
Experience working with backend technologies - RESTful JSON APIs and microservices.
Ability to interpret and implement Figma designs, asking for clarification where required.
Exposure to multiple software development methodologies and styles.
Knowledge and understanding of the end-to-end SDLC.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to gather accurate requirements and work with stakeholders to prioritise tasks and scope of development.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and make adjustments in a testing setting.
