The Mount Isa Copper and Zinc operations span the entire supply chain, from resource identification and development to production and distribution of copper, zinc and lead worldwide. Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead our Mining Electrical Team. The successful candidate will supervise and administer the Electrical Maintenance team, including contractors, ensuring efficient, value‑added outcomes while maintaining a safe and inclusive workplace.
Key responsibilities include:
* Safety leadership and compliance with Mount Isa Mines policies
* Developing a positive team culture, mentoring and coaching staff
* Creating and implementing weekly work schedules
* Optimising assigned resources and driving continuous improvement to reduce cost and waste
* Managing budget development and adherence to budget
* Administrative oversight of the team
Requirements
* Trade qualification as an Electrician
* Licensed electrician (S123)
* Minimum 5 years of mining experience
* Previous supervisory experience
* Strong leadership skills and knowledge of risk management, safety systems, and legislative requirements for electrical installations
* Experience supervising and developing large work teams
