About the role
As the Small Engine Mechanic, you report to the Asset Manager and are responsible for maintenance/servicing of small motor-powered equipment and providing support to the Operations department by loading and unloading of trucks/tankers, trailers and equipment, housekeeping and drum and filter processing.
This role requires you to:
* Service and maintain equipment (primarily small petrol/gasoline and diesel engine equipment) to required standards
* Perform servicing maintenance on site as required
* Conduct tests and make necessary adjustments to mechanical parts to ensure proper function after repairs
* Diagnose mechanical issues and parts
* Meet Quality Operational Management (QOM) standards
* Load and unload trucks/tankers, trailers and equipment
* Perform facilities cleaning and maintenance as required
* Load restraint of miscellaneous containers on trucks/trailers
Remuneration – A salary of between $76,000 and $90,000 is on offer. We also pay weekend and afternoon shift allowances.
About you
* Trade qualified as a small engine or motorcycle mechanic
* At least 3 years' experience in the field
* Adaptable to changing priorities and work conditions; able to work as part of a team and autonomously to complete tasks within required timeframes
* Time management skills with the ability to plan ahead and reschedule in accordance with changes in priorities
* Team-oriented, reliable, punctual and polite with good communication
* Manual Driver's License
