About the role
Based in the West Perth office, this hands-on Financial Controller role in a small team is central to the Company's financial operations, compliance, enabling seamless support to business operations.
This is a broad, business partnering role suited to a finance professional who is highly practical, and confident in statutory compliance, reporting, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will enjoy working closely with the leadership team in a lean, fast-paced environment, focusing on pragmatic service provision.
About you
* CA or CPA qualified with a tertiary degree in Accounting or Finance.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior financial role, ideally within mining, exploration, or similar industries.
* Strong technical skills in statutory reporting, financial analysis and compliance.
* Advanced communication and problem-solving skills.
* Proficient in ERP systems (ideally Pronto) and Word.
* Able to work autonomously, manage multiple deadlines, and support the organisation's continued development.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly management accounts and reports.
* Prepare group GST, FBT, Payroll Tax and Company tax returns.
* Maintain and build working relationships, providing outcomes that support production.
* Contribute to and assist with Company Secretary duties as required.
* Ensure sensible financial controls, reconciliations, and compliance frameworks are in place.
* Drive the continuous improvement of necessary financial systems and business processes.
* Provide training, mentoring and support to direct reports as needed.
