Assembly Engineering Specialist
The Assembly Engineering team is responsible for creating efficient manufacturing processes and assembly solutions for complex mechanical systems.
We are seeking a highly skilled Assembly Engineering Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement production procedures for primary structures and assemblies.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Collaborating with vehicle analysts and design teams to ensure that solutions meet vehicle design and manufacturing process requirements.
* Developing production procedures and managing the transition of primary structures and assemblies from the development phase to high-rate production.
* Coordinating and executing development, qualification, and acceptance testing of systems, machinery, and tooling needed to meet hardware delivery deadlines.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Experience with build, assembly, or integration of large mechanical assemblies.
* Knowledge of metallic manufacturing techniques, processes, and equipment related to welding, metal forming, fastening, drilling, bonding, and automation.
You should also have:
* A Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and 1+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or production.
* A Master's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace, materials, or industrial engineering is preferred.
This role requires standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, working in cramped positions in small openings, and climbing hand over hand.
