WA Cricket is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive **Country Coach & Talent Specialist** to lead the Country Coach Education & Development Plan. In this role, you'll help cricket coaches in regional areas develop their skills, from grassroots to high performance levels.
By aligning with the Australian Cricket Coach Development Framework and WA Cricket's strategy, you'll play a key part in supporting country coaches to grow local talent and contribute to the success of cricket across regional Western Australia.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and implement a Country Coach Education & Development Plan to support cricket coaches in regional areas.
- Coordinate the delivery of coaching development courses, workshops, and forums aimed at improving coaching in grassroots and high-performance environments.
- Drive initiatives that focus on the development of female coaches and projects like the Next Generation program.
- Mentor key regional coaches to ensure they create supportive learning environments for their players.
- Develop and maintain player depth charts through a structured talent identification process, including input from pathway coaches and regular monitoring of performances.
- Lead a standardised player selection process across country regions for cricket academies and representative teams.
- Oversee the progression of regional talent development programs, including those within Regional Academies of Sport.
- Support Regional Academy coaches in planning and delivering programs that maximize player development.
- Monitor and track player progress through performance evaluation and the use of individual development plans.
- Lead the planning and execution of regional cricket carnivals and ensure all WA Country Cricket events are professionally managed.
- Engage with various stakeholders, including WAC High Performance Pathways staff, regional cricket boards, and local associations.
**Who we are looking for**
- Experience working with athletes either within an educational or sporting environment.
- Demonstrated cricket coaching experience
- Experience in athlete talent identification and development processes
- Experience in managing stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A collaborative working style
- Cricket Coach Accreditation
- Working with Children Card
