Community Nurse - Sydney Sutherland Shire
Our Nurses will collaborate with the broader clinical and non - clinical Care Coordinators, we are currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at the Sydney Sutherland Shire. This role can include day and weekend shifts; however, we will always endeavour to cater to your preference.
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you'll provide person-centred care to assist the overall health and well-being of our clients in their homes, with a focus on achieving the best possible health outcomes. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will deliver the highest standard of nursing care within your clinical scope to our clients based on their unique and individual needs, making a real difference in their lives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Implement personalised care plans focused on managing symptoms of PTSD and other mental health conditions.
* Attending to complex wound dressings.
* Visiting client homes to provide nursing care.
* Complete comprehensive progress notes.
* Consult with GPs, care coordinators, and allied health.
* Provide direction and supervision to support workers.
* Address medical emergencies and provide first aid as required.
* Deescalate and provide mental health support if required.
* Follow all recommendations as a part of a behaviour support plan.

Essential requirements (selection criteria):
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions.
* Bachelor of Nursing (RNs)
* A minimum of 6 months paid experience in aged care, disability, mental health, community, or acute care*
* Willingness to work night duty when required.
* First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to acquire)
* National Police Check (or willingness to acquire)
* A current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
* Full Australian work rights.
* Ability to work within indirect supervision.
* Proven technological, communication and time management skills.
* A passion for providing quality care.
* Strong administration and organisational skills.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40.00 – $60.00 per hour
