In this role, you'll be at the heart of the action, contributing to the inception, planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of Council's Major events, including Rockynats, Rocky River Run, Rocky Show, Riverfest, and CapriCon.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
What we are looking for
* Tertiary qualification in Events/Events Management or a related field or relevant demonstrated experience
* Experience developing, monitoring and implementing event schedules and budgets.
* Knowledge of logistical event operations
* Demonstrated experience with Council systems is preferable – Finance One and ECM

Application Criteria
* Degree qualification in Business or Events Manager and/or experience in the development and delivery of events, public programs and activities.
* Ability to build and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships
* Effective time management across multiple events, problem solving abilities and record keeping
* Demonstrated strong administrative skills including an in depth understanding of the Microsoft office suite
