Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Accounts Receivable Officer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing and maintaining a prompt and efficient billing and receivables service, ensuring the overall integrity of billing and receivables, including accuracy, completeness, and timelines.
Main Responsibilities
* Liaise with the health funding team and supervisor/manager to resolve discrepancies or set up contracts.
* E nsure all miscellaneous costs are charged to the relevant accounts.
* Communicate effectively with medical, nursing, and other hospital staff or external parties to ensure accurate documentation for billings and receivables.
* Process payments received by post, phone, credit cards, BPay, Quick Terminal, and direct credits.
* Maintain the follow-up of outstanding accounts as per policy.
* Transfer accounts to the debt collection agency as necessary.
* Resolve rejections, queries, errors, and exceptions in relation to billing and receivables.
* Assist with internal and external audit recommendations related to billing and receivables.
Requirements
Proven experience in accounts receivable and administrative duties.
Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with the public, patients, external third parties, and all levels of staff in a professional manner.
Analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
