Role
As IT Operations Manager, you will lead the delivery of stable, secure and resilient IT services across the Paspaley Group. Based in Darwin, reporting to the CIO the role covers infrastructure, networks, platforms, end‑user services and the IT Service Desk, with a strong focus on operational cyber security. Working closely with business leaders, vendors and the IT team, you will ensure reliable technology services that support operations across multiple locations.
What You’ll Do
* Lead the day‑to‑day operation of infrastructure, networks, platforms, end‑user services and the IT Service Desk across the group
* Ensure the availability, reliability and security of IT services, including leadership of major incidents and root‑cause analysis
* Embed secure‑by‑design practices and lead operational cyber security activities such as patching, vulnerability management and incident response.
* Oversee on‑premises and cloud platforms, driving standardisation, optimisation and modernisation
* Manage IT operations budgets, vendors and service providers to ensure cost efficiency and strong service performance
* Mature IT service management practices across incident, problem and change management, including participation in CAB
* Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary IT operations team and act as a key escalation point for stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
* Strong experience in IT operations across infrastructure, networks, cloud platforms and end‑user services
* Hands‑on capability supporting reliable IT services in remote, regional or operational environments
* Practical experience with Azure, M365, enterprise networking and IT service management tools
* Solid understanding of operational cyber security, including patching, access control and incident response
* Proven ability to lead small, multidisciplinary teams and manage vendors in a hands‑on setting
* Strong problem‑solving skills, accountability and a proactive approach to keeping services running
* A degree in IT or a related field, with ITSM, cloud or cyber certifications viewed favourably
