Event Manager Position

The Event Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of event management. This includes conceptualising and delivering a program of events aligning with the organisation's vision and objectives.

* Deliver outstanding events with end-to-end planning and execution across various events and projects.

The Event Manager will work closely with internal teams to conceptualise and deliver a program of events that meet the organisation's goals and objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement event strategies.
* Liaise with stakeholders, partners, and event participants to ensure successful event outcomes.
* Manage event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and audio-visual requirements.
* Coordinate permits and approvals, including event management plans, food safety, and liquor licensing.
* Manage event budgets and timelines to ensure all deliverables are met on time and within scope.
* Implement risk management policies to ensure a safe and secure event environment.
* Coordinate event staff and contractors to deliver high-quality events.
* Work closely with the partnership team to create and deliver premium partner-led activations.


Key Selection Criteria:

1. Demonstrated success in managing all aspects of high-quality events from initial concept to final execution.
2. A background in large-scale event operations, partnership activations, and a well-developed knowledge of key event suppliers.
3. Proven capability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
4. Meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
5. Superior interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder and contractor engagement.
6. Proven ability to coordinate casual staff and contractors.
7. Proven ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
8. A proactive attitude with sharp problem-solving skills and a resourceful mindset.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
10. A relevant tertiary qualification would be an advantage.
11. Victorian Driver's License.
12. An ability to welcome change, meet a challenge, take up new ideas, and identify emerging trends.
13. An ability to work with other stakeholders and to consider and embrace other people's perspectives.
14. A planned and organised approach to business and management.
15. An ability to prioritise tasks, focus on urgent issues, and maintain momentum on others.
16. A capacity to work within a dynamic environment.
17. A willingness to assist with tasks across different functions as required ensuring the organisation's objectives are met.

Some seasonal evening and weekend work may be required to meet work priorities during the event delivery period.
