Job Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in the safe, efficient, and commercially sound delivery of shutdowns, installations, and site-based projects across all stages from initiation and planning through to execution and closeout.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the planning and delivery of fixed plant shutdowns and installations
* Prepare and review scopes of work, cost estimates, schedules, and methodologies
* Monitor project milestones and critical path activities
* Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and Australian Standards
* Develop and review technical documentation and vendor deliverables
* Manage technical queries and non-conformances during execution
* Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
* Assist in tendering, estimating, and proposal preparation
* Liaise with project teams, clients, vendors, and engineering staff
* Promote strong client relationships and alignment of expectations
* Provide technical support to site supervisors and participate in client reporting
* Ensure adherence to QA/QC, HSEQ, and project governance standards
* Monitor project costs and support financial reviews and variation claims
* Coordinate procurement with supply chain and project managers
Required Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
* Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or related field)
* 5+ years in a Project Engineering role
* Construction White Card & Current Driver's Licence
* Strong understanding of HSEQ and QA processes
* Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and preparing scopes
Desirable:
* AutoCAD / Navisworks competency
* Section 26 training
* Site-based experience in mining/resources
* Experience with shutdowns and fixed plant equipment
* Background in estimating and proposal preparation
