Full time ongoing position
Provide leadership and management experience within a complex call centre to support the Territory's emergency services.
The Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre (JESCC) is the heart of critical communications for St John Ambulance, NT Fire and Rescue Services, and NT Police, managing emergency and Triple Zero calls across the Territory.
As the Assistant Director, you provide strategic and operational management of the emergency communications and performance functions within JESCC and oversee systems, technology, data and performance reporting, governance, and integration with partner agencies.
Acting as the primary conduit between JESCC, the Department of Corporate and Digital Development (DCDD), and emergency service partners, you are responsible for ensuring the delivery of reliable, data-informed, and resilient communication services, including performance reporting, trend analysis and insights to inform decision-making. Supporting the Superintendent, you will assist with strategic planning, service performance analysis, risk management, and financial and procurement processes.
To be successful, you require extensive experience in managing large or complex call centre operations with demonstrated ability to oversee communications systems and infrastructure. Strong stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills and the ability to build productive relationships and collaborate effectively across agencies and technical teams is essential.
In return, you will receive a competitive remuneration package inclusive of 12% superannuation, 6 weeks recreation and 3 weeks personal leave, additional 3-day Christmas closedown leave, 17.5% annual leave loading, flexible work options and a supportive leadership team and peer group as you develop a long-term career with the JESCC.
