The role
As School Holiday Program Facilitator you will develop and provide a safe, constructive, and fun recreational program for children during the school holidays.
Additional responsibilities include:
* Providing a program including activities that meet the requirements of the National Quality Framework, and the Early Years Learning and Development Framework My Time, Our Place.
* Encouraging children to reach their full potential in physical, intellectual, social, emotional and creative development.
* Supporting and implementing positive behaviour guidance strategies set for children such as those with additional and supported needs.
* Working cooperatively and professionally to lead the team in the provision of a high quality and developmentally appropriate educational programs.
About you:
You will require a qualification in Children's Services or a related field, and/or several years' experience working in a similar field or position, as well as:
* Current First Aid Certificate that includes Asthma and Anaphylaxis
* Demonstrated ability to plan and implement an innovative child development program for primary school aged children.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and build a team of educators in the provision of customer focused services on behalf of Latrobe City Council.
* A sound understanding of children developmental needs at the primary school level
* Strong commitment to the child safe standards and promotion of children's wellbeing
* Be available 8 hours per week during School term and Full-Time, 38 hours during School Holidays.
All successful applicants are also required to apply for and satisfactorily obtain a National Police Check and have an employee Working with Children Check.
