The Health Security Department provides 24/7 security and emergency response services across Townsville University Hospital, Kirwan Community Health campus, and Joyce Palmer Health Service.

Competitive salary and benefits
Salary between $******* – $******* per fortnight (OO3).
Casual hourly rate $***** – $***** per hour (OO3)
4 to 6 weeks p.a. recreational leave with *******% loading.

As a Health Security Officer, you'll deliver high-quality, best-practice security and emergency response services across Townsville University Hospital and associated facilities.
Your role includes responding to alarms and emergencies, monitoring CCTV and electronic security systems, conducting patrols, and ensuring compliance with safety policies.
You'll support staff and patients through escorts, assist during critical incidents, and liaise with emergency services.
This dynamic position requires vigilance, professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all.
Requirements
Whilst not mandatory, possession of a Certificate III in Security Operations or equivelant or higher would be well regarded.
Whilst not mandatory a current security licence would be well regarded.
The successful candidate will be required to participate in a continuous shift (24 hour) roster, 7 days a week.
There will be a requirement to work weekends and public holidays.
Current C Class driver licence.
Compliance with Vaccination Preventable Disease (VPD) requirements.
A probationary period may apply.
