We are seeking a technical professional to lead the maintenance and improvement of fire safety systems across our Australian toll road network.
About the Role
This is a hands-on position focusing on condition monitoring, diagnostics, and performance uplift across fire detection, suppression, and interfacing systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability and resilience of our assets.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and assess fire safety system condition and performance across key assets
* Lead diagnostics and data-driven investigations to identify reliability risks and system improvements
* Scope rectification works and contribute to asset management strategies
* Execute engineering change reviews and drive operational improvements
* Engage with stakeholders to uplift asset performance across interfaces
* Lead risk assessments and contribute to risk management platforms
* Support knowledge integrity and process improvement through documentation and analysis
Requirements
* A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Process or Mechanical) with 7+ years' experience in relevant disciplines
* Experience in fire safety engineering, asset management or industrial instrumentation/control
* Proven ability to diagnose and uplift complex system performance in safety-critical environments
* Familiarity with Australian Standards AS 4825 and AS 1851 and ISO31000 frameworks
* Chartered or progressing toward Chartered Engineer status within Engineers Australia or other recognised body
* Strong collaboration, documentation, and investigative skills
