About The Role
The City of Sydney Library Network delivers vital frontline services to a diverse community of residents, students, workers, visitors, and tourists.
Reporting to the Library Engagement Manager, the Team Leader – Library Events, Activities and Partnerships leads the development and delivery of inclusive, innovative, and strategically aligned programs and partnerships that activate library spaces and engage the community.
As part of the library leadership team, this role contributes to the strategic direction of the service and drives priority actions within Strategic Plans and the City's Cultural Strategy
The Libraries and Learning team is seeking a dynamic and collaborative leader with strong communication skills to lead engagement initiatives, manage partnerships, and promote the value of libraries.
The Library Events, Activities and Partnerships team works across all library locations and within the local government area, delivering a wide range of activities including in-branch activations, outreach programs, digital literacy initiatives, children and youth events, and the Home Library Service.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
* Substantial experience leading, managing and developing high performing teams
* Experience in programming and events management
* Experience working collaboratively with and developing internal and external stakeholder relationships
* Contributed to the development and implementation of strategies and business plans
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Innovative problem-solving and excellent conflict resolution skills
* Demonstrated agility and responsiveness in dynamic work environments

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
