With a strong order book and several major projects underway, the business is entering an exciting growth phase — and now seeks a Strategy & Growth Business Development Manager to help shape the next chapter of their success.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the senior leadership team, this newly created position combines business development, client engagement, and strategic planning. You'll be instrumental in identifying new opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and driving growth across the company's key service areas — from automation and control systems to electrical design and digital integration.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic business development plan focused on core sectors (mining, energy, infrastructure, utilities).
Build trusted relationships with new and existing clients to secure ongoing project work.
Collaborate with the engineering and project delivery teams to scope, price, and position solutions.
Provide market intelligence and identify diversification opportunities aligned with long-term business strategy.
Represent the business at industry functions, conferences, and client meetings.
Track and report on pipeline activity, tender success rates, and growth outcomes.
About You
Proven experience in business development, strategy, or key account management within Electrical, Automation, or Control Systems.
Strong commercial acumen and ability to engage confidently with both technical and senior stakeholders.
Natural relationship builder with a proactive and professional approach to business development.
Strategic mindset — capable of identifying opportunities and turning ideas into tangible results.
Degree or trade background in Electrical, Mechatronic, or related discipline highly regarded.
