LA Build are seeking experienced Construction Project Manager for remote and urban projects across the Northern Territory.
This position involves planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating all aspects of a construction project, from initial planning and budgeting to overseeing the project's execution and completion. This includes managing budgets, schedules, resources, and teams, while ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Construction Management: Coordinate and manage all on-site activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specified quality standards.
- Team Supervision: Manage a team of construction workers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Foster a positive work environment and ensure all team members adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work performed, conduct regular inspections, and address any issues or defects promptly.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to work health and safety protocols and legislation, ensuring continuous compliance throughout the entire project, from inception to completion.
- Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with client representatives, architects, engineers and other stakeholders, to ensure clear communication and understanding of project requirements and progress.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, manage standard construction site documentation, and prepare regular progress reports for senior management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the NT construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction methodologies.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office & Excel.
- Ability to use Construction Management software, and bring your willingness to learn essential industry online programs.
Requirements
- Availability to control work in remote and urban locations across the Northern Territory.
- Valid NT driver's license.
- Relevant certifications and qualifications in construction management or a related field.
