Sexual Assault Support Professional
This role requires a high level of expertise in trauma-informed counselling, working with victim-survivors of sexual assault, and children and young people with harmful sexual behavior. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the impacts and dynamics of sexual assault, and experience in delivering training to young people and adult learners.
As a skilled and valued member of the team, this position is expected to provide a high level of support to victim-survivors of sexual assault, while observing professional standards, legislation, and confidentiality.
1. Experience working with diverse communities or lived experience of diversity including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, LGBTQIA+, migrant, culturally and linguistically diverse and people with disability.
2. Understanding of sexual assault through an intersectional approach that considers where gender and other inequalities/oppressions produce unique experiences of violence.
