As our new Senior Speech Pathologist, you’ll be part of a passionate, supportive team helping older South Australians stay connected, confident, and living well. Working across our Geriatric Outreach Service, Geriatrics in the Home, and Multidisciplinary Community Geriatric Service, you’ll bring your skills to consumers with complex swallowing, communication, and cognitive needs. You’ll focus on compassionate, person-centred care, using practical, non-pharmacological approaches to support people living with dementia in both residential aged care and the community. To be successful in this role, you will have: The right qualifications and experience – A degree in Speech Pathology (or equivalent) with eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia, plus at least three years’ post-qualification clinical experience. Proven clinical excellence – Expertise in assessing, planning, and managing swallowing, communication, and cognitive disorders, including dysphagia, across diverse care settings. A collaborative, inclusive approach – The ability to work seamlessly in multidisciplinary teams, foster respectful and inclusive environments, and build positive relationships with patients, carers, and colleagues. Strong organisational and communication skills – Clear, confident communication, sound judgement, and the ability to prioritise, adapt, and deliver high-quality outcomes across clinical and non-clinical activities.
