About the role
The JBS Pork Division is currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join our team in Corowa, NSW, on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Stockfeeds Operations Manager, you will be responsible for upholding the financial integrity of the Feedmill Site, the provision of strategic financial advice, whilst ensuring compliance and accuracy within the Group's financial and reporting processes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Ensure accountability, accuracy and integrity of financial transactions within the general ledger;
* Preparation of monthly financial reports covering balance sheet, profit and loss, internal management reports and cashflow statements;
* Coordinates inventory counts with operations and produce month end reconciliation.
* Prepare, analyse and report financial and statistical information on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
* Prepare weekly and monthly management accounts, financial reconciliations, forecasts, and annual budgets.
* Identify cost reductions and opportunities to improve financial performance.
* Provide information that will allow strategic decisions to be made to increase profitability whilst considering risk mitigation.
* Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking, and analyse and improve processes.
* Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives.
* Ensures compliance with GST taxation requirements.
* Ensures compliance with the Groups financial and reporting processes.
* Provides advice, training and mentoring to staff and stakeholders as required.
* Participate fully in both internal and external financial audits as required.
* Ensure annual objectives are regularly reviewed and met.
* Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, processes and work instructions at all times.
* Undertake other duties as directed.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
* CPA qualifications.
* Experience in Management Accounting.
* Sound understanding of corporate governance and internal control practices.
* Sound understanding of financial reporting requirements and standards.
* An ability to formulate practical solutions to complex problems.
* Strong interpersonal skills, including high level communication at all levels of the business.
* Effective time management.
* Advanced computer skills (particularly MS Excel).
