An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Corporate Development Analyst to join a leading Energy infrastructure business that plays a critical role in the national energy transition. With major projects underway across transmission, distribution, and grid connections, this organisation is focused on innovation, commercial excellence, and sustainable growth.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Corporate Development, you'll help shape the company's commercial and strategic direction through the evaluation, development, and execution of large-scale investment opportunities. This role will see you work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify and structure commercial deals that align with the organisation's long-term growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
* Engage with major connection customers to identify strategic growth opportunities and develop integrated connection offers
* Evaluate development and investment projects through detailed financial modelling, commercial analysis, and risk assessment
* Support commercial negotiations and deal structuring, balancing financial, regulatory, and operational considerations
* Prepare investment assessments and Board materials for decision-making and project approval
* Collaborate across commercial, legal, technical, and operational teams to ensure successful project delivery
* Undertake industry research to identify emerging trends, technologies, and growth opportunities across the energy sector
About You
* 5–10+ years' experience in strategy consulting, corporate development, investment banking, or similar roles within infrastructure, utilities, or energy
* Degree-qualified in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
* Commercially astute with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing ability – comfortable working with senior executives and external partners
* Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive outcomes
* A team player who thrives in a dynamic, fast-evolving environment
