The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Inclusion Foundation - e.motion21. We are seeking volunteers to assist weekly during school terms at our dance classes for people who have Down syndrome at our Kew site on Mondays.
The role of the dance class support volunteer is to help our dancers fully participate in their classes and follow instructions from the dance teacher. Similar to a dance teacher assistant but with no formal (dance) training required, we are looking for enthusiastic; caring people who respect our participants and are keen to learn
We will provide full training on the learning strengths of people with Down syndrome so that all volunteers feel confident of their role and are ready to make a contribution in classes or at an event.
