Administration Assistant – RPDH – Targeted role, NSW Health

Location: East Maitland, NSW, AU.
Employment type: Permanent Part Time.
Classification: Administration Officer Level 2.
Salary: $66,608.03 – $68,817.27 plus super and salary packaging.
Hours per week: 16.
Requisition ID: REQ .
Closing date: Thursday 18th December.

About the role

The Administration Assistant will support a multidisciplinary team at Rankin Park Day Hospital, assisting with patient care and administrative tasks.

* Record new admissions
* Manage phone enquiries
* Handle digital medical records
* Coordinate clinic bookings
* Provide general administrative support across the department
* Prepare discharge documentation and scanning
* Conduct audits
* Attend intake and unit meetings
* Manage referrals and maintain waitlists


About you

* Proactive, 'can‑do' attitude
* Excellent time‑management and problem‑solving skills
* Works independently and as part of a team
* Strong attention to detail and maintains confidentiality
* Excellent communication skills


Training and support

Hands‑on training from experienced staff, onboarding training on hospital systems, and ongoing support to ensure success.
