Senior Java Engineer Role at Macquarie Group
We are seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join our newly formed Workflow Automation Platform within the core banking space.
The role sits within the Party Services team that is at the heart of Workflow Automation. "Party" is all about the customer – from fraud prevention to financial assistance, name changes, and everything in between.
We're building the backbone of customer management that powers seamless digital interactions.
As a Senior Java Developer, you will design and build out long running decisioning services that allow us to digitise customer interactions and automate internal processes.
You will be part of a supportive team where everyone - no matter what role - contributes ideas and drives outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
* BUILD AND MAINTAIN DATA SERVICES AND PIPELINES USING INDUSTRY BEST PRACTICES
* LEARN ABOUT THE BUSINESS, BUILD AND MAINTAIN HIGH QUALITY SOFTWARE IN A DEVOPS MANNER, AND HELP AUTOMATE ITS TESTING AND DELIVERY
Requirements:
* 5+ YEARS' OF PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE CODING IN CORE JAVA
* SOLID PRINCIPLES AND FUNCTIONAL PROGRAMMING
* BROAD DEPTH OF KNOWLEDGE IN BUILDING JAVA BASED APPLICATIONS FOR THE CLOUD
* EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE WITH SPRING BOOT
* EXPERIENCE WITH SQL
* EXPERIENCE WITH SDLC TOOLS (E.G. BAMBOO, JENKINS, JIRA, GIT, CONFLUENCE)
* EXPERIENCE WITH CLOUD AND CONTAINERISATION TECHNOLOGIES IS ADVANTAGEOUS
* EXPERIENCE USING AND DEVELOPING RESTFUL APIs
