Learning Support Assistant Position Overview
The primary focus of this role is to collaborate with teachers in providing a supportive and inclusive environment for students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the care and well-being of students, focusing on those with disabilities.
* Assist teachers in adapting educational content to meet individual student needs.
* Facilitate smooth transitions and enrolments under the guidance of teaching staff.
This position requires an individual who understands and can articulate their commitment to Catholic education principles.
A strong candidate will possess experience working with students with disabilities, excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, as well as knowledge of relevant Disability legislation and data collection practices.
Selection Criteria:
1. Clear understanding and personal commitment to Catholic education and its mission.
2. Experience working with students with disabilities (K-12).
3. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with school staff, external stakeholders, and under teacher direction.
4. Knowledge about relevant Disability legislation and nationally consistent data collection.
