About the Role
Opportunity for an experienced Test Lead to be responsible for driving testing outcomes within the CoreMod team. You will be part of a program that will modernise infrastructure and migrate all applications that we use daily to provide a cohesive, more integrated user experience which will support RBA's strategic platform.
We are seeking a Test Lead with hands-on experience in functional and non-functional testing (preferably with Sterling applications), strong understanding of various test phases, and the ability to apply QA processes effectively. The ideal candidate is an adaptive learner who can quickly understand the existing application landscape and contribute positively to the project.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and own the overall Test Plan for application migration to the new infrastructure
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including functional and non-functional testing (infrastructure, performance, failover/disaster recovery).
Plan, coordinate, and manage testing activities covering system compatibility, data integrity, and application functionality post‑migration.
Perform functional, non-functional (Load, Performance, Fail Over/Disaster Recovery, Operational Acceptance Test)
Conduct performance and security testing to identify potential risks in the new infrastructure
Collaborate with infrastructure, development, and business teams to resolve migration-related defects
Monitor and report on test progress, defects, and risks, ensuring alignment with project timelines
Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards during testing
Provide support during cutover, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
Document test results, defects, and lessons learned for continuous improvement
About you
In-depth functional and non-functional (infrastructure and performance) testing experience in a migration and infrastructure project as a Test Lead
Working experience with JMeter to design and execute performance and load tests.
Experience with Test management tools such as JIRA, QMETRY, and Confluence or similar tools
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve migration-related issues
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experienced in co-ordination with multiple vendors, application owners, testing teams & business stakeholders for technical testing & UAT activities
Knowledge of structured test management methodologies, ensuring adherence to internal frameworks, processes, and best practices for effectively managing all Testing and QA aspects of the program.
Sound knowledge of IBM Sterling and experience with integration testing involving APIs, MQ, SFTP, batch jobs, file transfers, and downstream systems - desirable.
