Your role within the team

The Sales Director, Australia is an executive leadership position within our regional Executive team who will create and implement the Sales strategy for the Health & Happiness Group in Australia. Leading the largest team across Australia, the Sales Director will provide inspirational and strategic leadership to various sub-teams, including
Account Management
,
Category & Channel Development
,
Field
, and
Sales Operations and will be a key stakeholder for the Omni-channel Consumer Experience
team. This unique opportunity is suitable for an experienced, customer-focused and commercial leader who thrives in an agile environment. They will join a high-performing team and help inspire the business toward a shared vision that genuinely impacts the community, supporting H&H's mission to make millions of people healthier and happier.

Key responsibilities include:

Sales Accountability

* Achievement of revenue and budgetary targets
* Lead 3-year strategy development alongside Regional Leadership team
* Deliver market leading joint business plans across all key retailers
* Strong collaboration, communication and influence with key internal stakeholders to ensure full alignment and accountability to service and deliver the sales strategy, including marketing, finance and supply teams.

People Leadership

* Attract, develop, inspire and engage a high-performing team to deliver meaningful impact.
* Champion and embed the Health & Happiness Culture to create an engaged, high-impact and happy team members
* Contribute largely to our talent development strategy and enable learning through participation in and support of our internal capability plans
* Adopt a strengths-based approach to performance development and lead participation in our Performance Review Cycles

Financial Management

* Full P&L responsibility for growing region, ensuring senior sales leaders understand and are accountable for results
* Strong understanding and experience in application of Strategic Revenue Management principles
* Lead and effectively manage all cost centres with direct financial responsibility for the success of the Australian business unit
* Achievement of Budget / Forecast Revenue and Profit targets
* Contribute to key commercial and financial processes, and ensure the team is informed and upskilled on new processes and practices as they arise
* Provide financial reporting back to the wider business appropriate for the needs of the H&H group
* Improve forecast accuracy and minimise aged stock risks and supply chain exposures

Experience

To make sure we're setting new starters up for success, we ask that you meet a few criteria relevant to the role to be considered for this opportunity:

* Relevant business/commerce qualification or equivalent industry experience
* Strong understanding of retail and wholesale market within FMCG and retail in Australia
* Minimum 15 years in a commercial environment, more recently contributing to business strategy, with strong people-leadership and function management experience
* Proven success at senior level with customers across Pharmacy and/or Grocery
* Demonstrated success in contributing to brand/business growth within FMCG / retail industry at a senior level
* Experience in partnering with Pharmacy and/or Grocery customers, with breadth of experience preferred.
* Demonstrated understanding of the importance of effective product mix and margin management, with ability to promote strategic revenue management within a commercial environment
* Solid understanding and experience in category and channel development
* Strong account and relationship management skills, with ability to influence through effective negotiation
* Has managed large multi-discipline teams, particularly within Sales, to achieve an overarching strategy
* Ability to balance competing channel priorities while optimising resources to maximise individual and team performance
* Experience in/exposure to global organisations and aligning country strategy to global objectives
* Responding to unforeseen market impacts and maintain business profitability, with experience navigating challenges and maintaining strong team engagement and morale
