Role Responsibilities
">
* Managing a portfolio of R&D investments to support achievement of the strategic plan, 'Clever Cotton'.
* Brokering partnerships and procurement of research collaborations.
* Delivery, monitoring and review of project and program performance.
">
The portfolio will primarily be responsible for investments under the 'Adaptive Systems' theme such as on-farm agronomy, biosecurity and insect management.
">
Key Qualifications and Skills
">
* Qualifications in Agricultural Science or equivalent.
* 5+ years' experience in agricultural research, crop production or agronomy.
* Proven experience in project development, negotiation and management in a relevant industry sector OR experience in innovation and commercialisation processes.
* A good understanding of agricultural technology and its use in crop production.
* The ability to build relationships and collaborate nationally and internationally with both public and private partners.
* An entrepreneurial mindset and self-starter, with well-developed presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
* Australian citizenship.
