Our well-established client has a vacancy for a Compliance Manager. The role is full-time and office based.
Ideally the successful candidate will have an understanding of the rules & regulations governing legal practice.
The role will include but will not be limited to:
* SRA Handbook & the Code of Conduct
* Renewal of Practising Certificates
* Anti-Money Laundering
* Health & Safety
* Data Protection
* Legal 500
* Risk Assessment
* Supporting the COLP & COFA
* Training all staff on risk & compliance updates
* Filing of Annual Returns & all other Companies House Registrations
* Day to day focus on regulatory risk & compliance as set out by the SRA
* Ensuring the file reviews are completed
* Induction & training for new employees on mandatory risk & compliance
* Management & maintenance of a risk & compliance policy & register
* Managing the Lexcel accreditation
* Assisting in auditing & updating of the company staff handbook
This role is crucial to the success of their experienced team who have a demanding workload. This means that you must be able to handle pressure and be able to prioritise your daily workload.
Additional requirements of this role:
* Previous experience in a compliance environment is essential.
* Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to work, with the ability to adhere to strict deadlines;
* Professional telephone manner, coupled with strong interpersonal skills;
* Capability to handle pressure and effectively prioritize tasks whilst managing a demanding workload.
