**The Role**
professional, motivated EL1 Business Manager.

You will be responsible for a team delivering business activities including workforce management, financial management, SPO security, data integrity, records management, governance and quality assurance activities to all business units within the SPO. Other key responsibilities include oversight of procurement and contract management processes in accordance with Defence policy and the coordination, management of SPO reporting requirements and business plan implementation. This position is key to the management of the SPO's contractual arrangements for the provision of above the line workforce.
The right person for this role will respond flexibly to Defence's changing context and shifting priorities to achieve business outcomes. In this role you will provide support to the entire SPO to ensure they are sensitive to Defence strategic direction and to excel, while exercising a degree of independence.

**About our Team**
The AESA SPO is part of the Electromagnetic Warfare and Intelligence Systems (EWIS) Branch, within the Department of Defence's Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG). Charged with the responsibility of acquiring and sustaining a broad range of electronic warfare and signals intelligence systems in both tactical and strategic domains, the EWIS Branch provides its team with a wide range of exciting career opportunities. Within EWIS Branch, the AESA SPO manages engagements between the Department of Defence and CEA Technologies - a supplier of world-leading radar technologies that are designed, developed and manufactured in Australia.
- A significant record of achievement in business management and planning and coordinating the delivery of a range of business and administrative activities.
- Demonstrated experience in developing managing geographically dispersed teams to achieve organisational outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to identify best-fit organisational solutions.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, written and communication skills, including relationship building, resilience and adaptability and tailoring your approach when targeting audiences.
- An understanding of Defence's procurement and contract management policies the ability to interpret documentation under limited direction.
