We’re now looking for an HR Manager to join our leadership team and help take our people function to the next level. This role is central to building frameworks that empower managers, support employees, and ensure compliance as we grow.
About the Role
As HR Manager, you’ll shape the People function at RAYS Wellness. Reporting directly to the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll design systems and initiatives that allow our teams to thrive - balancing the rigor of compliance with the warmth of a values-led workplace. From recruitment and onboarding to workforce planning, you’ll be the architect of a people-first strategy that scales nationally without losing its heart.
You’ll work closely with our Head of Operations, Site Operation managers, and senior leaders to embed policies that ensure compliance, promote engagement, and unlock long-term career growth.
Key Responsibilities
HR Compliance & Employee Lifecycle
- Maintain personnel records and ensure compliance with Fair Work, pharmacy award obligations, and employment law.
- Prepare employment contracts, ensuring legal and award alignment.
- Manage onboarding paperwork (tax, superannuation, compliance).
- Support termination processes, including documentation, exit interviews, and HRIS records.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Draft and publish job advertisements in line with approved role descriptions.
- Screen resumes and conduct first-round interviews.
- Coordinate with site managers to deliver fair, consistent hiring processes.
- Design and update induction materials, ensuring new starters complete compliance modules.
Performance, Development & Retention
- Map career pathways and growth opportunities across the organisation.
- Introduce and track goal-setting frameworks.
- Design and oversee fair, legally compliant performance improvement frameworks.
- Provide manager training in coaching, delegation, and difficult conversations.
Culture & Engagement
- Monitor and act on feedback via staff surveys and HR systems.
- Provide confidential support as a neutral HR channel.
- Lead People & Culture initiatives - values workshops, recognition programs, wellbeing activities.
- Embed values-led behaviour consistently across the organisation.
Strategic Workforce Planning
- Partner with leadership on workforce and succession planning to support national scaling.
- Design and deliver annual training schedules (compliance, leadership, wellbeing).
- Regularly review HR policies and SOPs for compliance and future readiness.
- Provide reporting on attendance and workforce trends to flag risks (burnout, rostering gaps).
About You
- 2-3 years’ People management experience in healthcare, retail, pharmacy, or a fast-growth environment.
- Robust working knowledge of pharmacy Fair Work and award compliance.
- Eager to implement a HR management platform and streamline HR function at RAYS (recruitment, inductio and onboarding, ongoing training).
- Confidence to act as a neutral HR presence in sensitive matters, while guiding managers on process and tone.
- Highly organised, empathetic, and values-driven, with a proven ability to build trust across teams.
