About the role
Support Worker - Make a Difference Every Day
Support Workers play a vital role in delivering compassionate, high-quality care while building trusted relationships with our customers. Working independently, you will travel between clients' homes and community locations to provide flexible support.This role involves assisting aged, disability, and high-needs clients with activities of daily living, including personal care, domestic assistance, social support, and respite care, helping them maintain independence and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Provide compassionate, person-centred support to aged, and high-needs clients in their homes and in the community.
Confidently deliver personal care, domestic assistance, social support, and respite services, including light household duties.
Work independently and travel between clients across Canberra, ensuring reliable and flexible service delivery.
Build positive, respectful relationships with clients while supporting their independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
Comply with relevant Calvary WHS policies, procedures, work instructions, and requests.
About you
A Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability or Individual Support
Current and valid Driver's Licence, insured, reliable motor vehicle and smart mobile phone
Capacity to embrace a role that is meaningful for the community and yourself
Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer service orientation
Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
Proficiency in use of technology such as smart phones, email and internet
A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
