Join the Future Fund as Manager, Tax Reporting and Governance, reporting to the Director, Tax Compliance. This is a critical role within the Agency's tax function, with responsibility for managing key tax compliance obligations and strengthening tax governance processes across the Agency and the funds managed by the Future Fund Board of Guardians.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of investment, governance, and tax risk management in a complex, global investment environment. You will play a central role in ensuring high quality tax compliance outcomes across public and private market investments, while also driving continuous improvement in processes, systems, and capability. The role is well suited to an experienced tax professional who enjoys operating in a technically complex environment, partnering closely with stakeholders, and contributing to the ongoing maturity of a best practice tax function.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure all tax filings and payments are identified, reviewed, and completed accurately and on time.
* Manage relationships with external service providers, including coordinating work, reviewing outputs, and monitoring performance.
* Develop, implement, and maintain governance processes to ensure tax risks are appropriately identified, managed, and mitigated.
* Coordinate external tax advice as required to support compliance and governance outcomes.
* Undertake technical tax research to support tax positions and decision making.
* Work closely with internal teams and external investment managers to obtain information required for tax compliance and reporting.
* Oversee tax reporting and broader tax governance matters across the Agency.
About You
* A relevant tertiary qualification in commerce, law, or business.
* Chartered Accountant or similar professional qualification.
* Demonstrated experience managing tax compliance obligations, including developing and implementing tax risk and governance frameworks.
* Familiarity with tax regulations in overseas jurisdictions, particularly the United States.
* Experience working with finance systems and custodian data to support tax reporting and compliance.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
* High levels of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
* A commitment to excellence, continuous improvement, and delivering high-quality outcomes.
* Innovative and solutions focused, with the ability to build and maintain strong partnerships.
* Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fastmoving and evolving environment.
