We are seeking talented and enthusiastic professional looking to complete their speciality training working in a senior role, while supporting Registrars and Resident Medical Officers. This position will be best suited to a level 5 or 6 trainee.This accredited senior registrar position will offer excellent experience in tertiary level antenatal and intrapartum care including ultrasound and labour ward management. The training in general gynaecology unit will allow the successful applicant to consolidate their surgical skills including laparoscopic surgery, prior to entering specialist practice.This is an exceptional and unique opportunity that will enable the successful applicant to gain all the skills they will require to enter specialist practice on completion of this appointment.Salary$134,930 - $189,005 per annumSalary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022ClassificationMedical Practitioner Level 5-11 (Registrar/Senior Registrar)Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022AwardMedical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) AwardPeriod of EmploymentFixed term, full timeday work,76 hours per fortnight plus10 hours protected training time (pro rata) commencing2 February 2026 until 1 February 2027.Applicants should note that, for a period of a twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time and casual vacancies.LocationRoyal Hobart Hospital, Obstetrics & GynaecologyEssential RequirementsGeneral or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.Current Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements).Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment.
