Details: Events ACT is seeking to fill the role of Senior Director, Event Development. The preferred candidate will have extensive demonstrated experience within a government context to undertake strategic planning, development, marketing, and management of events and overseeing the management of funding programs to support the broader Canberran event sector. Your highly developed research and analytical skills along with your extensive stakeholder engagement and negotiation ability will be well regarded.

Eligibility/Other requirements:
* Relevant experience or relevant qualifications in event management or a related industry highly regarded.
* Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 may be required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Working with vulnerable people (WWVP) registration )
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of up to six months. This position is available to ACT Government officers and employees only.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
This position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.
