About this role
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Systems Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will play a critical role in maintaining and troubleshooting complex systems, supporting electrical and instrumentation work.
This is a permanent full-time position based at our Proserpine Mill which follows a year-round day work roster and may require some weekend work, overtime and shift coverage if needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Hands-on field-based work with instrumentation: Ensure the smooth operation of equipment by performing routine maintenance tasks.
* Diagnostics and optimization: Examine interconnected circuit systems to identify areas for improvement.
* Mastery of complex control systems: Troubleshoot advanced electrical control systems using combinations of pneumatic, electronic, microprocessor-based, and mechanical subsystems.
* Safety Champion: Demonstrate commitment to safety protocols by participating in regular inspections and contributing to improvement initiatives.
Further Requirements
A qualified Electrical Mechanic/Instrumentation with current Queensland Electrical License or willingness to obtain one. Holding an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering (or progress towards one) is advantageous but not essential – your passion for engineering principles remains crucial.
