About the Job
This is an exciting opportunity to join Arcare, a leading provider of aged care services in Australia. As a Head Chef, you will play a significant role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by preparing delicious and nutritious meals.
The successful candidate will have a Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) and be passionate about delivering high-quality cuisine while fostering positive dining experiences. You will supervise the Catering team when on duty and work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare meals according to menus designed by the Head Chef, ensuring they are nutritious, appealing, and meet specific dietary needs of individual residents.
* Accommodate special dietary requirements, such as texture-modified diets, to cater to unique health conditions and preferences of residents.
* Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards to prevent foodborne illnesses and maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
* Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished dishes, ensuring they meet high standards in taste, appearance, and portion sizes.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
Requirements:
* Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery).
* Adaptable, passionate, and willing to learn.
* Collaborative and skilled at teamwork.
* Friendly and effective communication abilities.
