Job Purpose

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organised HR Officer to join our team in Baulkham Hills. This role will play an essential part in supporting the smooth running of our HR function, with a strong focus on HR administration. From onboarding new employees to maintaining accurate records, preparing correspondence, and ensuring compliance, you’ll help keep the people side of our business organised and effective.

How You Make an Impact – your main focus:

- Coordinate successful onboarding of new employees with all stakeholders

- Deliver HR induction to new employees

- Maintain organizational charts

- Manage all HR communication platforms (i.e. Staff Announcements, HR intranet, newsletter, TVs, Town Halls)

- Coordinate successful offboarding of employees as required, including conducting of exit interviews

- Assist with recruitment and payroll processing, when required

- Maintain HR work instructions and correspondence templates

- Monthly and ad hoc reporting requirements

- Maintain accuracy and currency of personnel files and related employment records

- Track significant dates and milestones as related to employment records, ensuring compliance and appropriate action (i.e. probation reviews, end of contract terms, parental leave, flexible work arrangements)

- Manage local reward and recognition programs

- Coordinate HR related events and activities

- Assist in leading employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives

- Lead and assist in assigned global/local HR related projects, initiatives and activities

No previous experience required, though for further stretch:

- Lead DEI initiatives

- Assist in the administration of Enterprise Agreement bargaining, as required

- Assist Head of Human Resources with performance management processes, as required

What You Bring to the Role

- Cert IV in Human Resources, or equivalent working experience

- 3+ years HR administrative experience

- General awareness and understanding of employment legislation framework

Competencies Desired

- Acute attention to detail

- Customer orientated, problem solving and proactive thinking

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion

- Confidence in setting and managing stakeholder expectations

- System savvy, with intermediate skills in HRIS, MS Office/Excel/PowerPoint

- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills

- Strong business acumen – verbal and written

- Ability to apply and interpret policy, procedure and legislation

Working Conditions / Travel Requirements

- Office based role

- 1 day per week travel to Wetherill Park Plant
