THE WORK:
We are seeking experienced Electrical Engineer to work across major technology projects involving detailed reviews, designs, testing, and delivery of brown and green field electrical systems.
* Conduct a comprehensive review of the current state of electrical equipment including VSD drives, soft starters, power meters, smart field instrumentation, associated communications infrastructure, etc.
* Create equipment replacement methodologies.
* Harmonic Distortion reports.
* Heat Load calculations.
* Develop updated single-line diagrams, motor schematics, termination drawings, block diagrams, general arrangements/MCC panel drawings, and equipment layouts.
* Work with Clients and Contracting Companies to develop electrical system designs, architectures, schematics, block diagrams and documentation.
* Cable calculations and schedules.
* Carry out Risk Assessments.
* Develop installation Scope of Works and Work Packs.
* Oversee and support site electrical installations by electrical contractors.
* Develop FAT/SAT procedures.
* Deliver project handover packages with training materials and post-commissioning support.
* Select and write requirements to be integrated into electrical work packages.
HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering.
* Extensive experience in electrical design for industrial projects. Preferably in mining, chemical, power, water, and other utilities industries.
* Strong expertise in substations, motor control centers, power distribution, VVVF, Soft Starters, harmonics mitigation, PLC replacement, instrumentation, etc.
* Excellent documentation and drafting abilities.
* Strong knowledge of relevant electrical standards and regulations.
* Knowledge of operational technology, SCADA systems and communication protocols.
* Ability to work independently within multi-disciplinary project teams.
