Newcastle Anglican has an exciting opportunity for a Community Services Manager to join the team. You will provide leadership, direction and operational business management across a number of program areas, including youth mental health, headspace, rural young minds, and these areas are geographically spanning Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Hunter New England and mid-north coast region.

What are we looking for?

* Actively participate in the organisational strategic planning process.
* Implement and ensure compliance with standard procedures and policies across the range of organisational requirements
* Maintain a close working relationship with funding bodies, professional community networks and management
* Attend and represent Samaritans at external forums, meetings and DCJ meetings.
* Ensure that a high regard is given to each child's social, physical intellectual, cultural, emotional, religious and racial needs, together with any special needs they may have.
* Oversee the implementation of the strategic plan.
* Coordinate the provision of services across the regions.
* Provide effective management and leadership to all staff.
* Work with key stakeholders in identifying future needs and areas for service delivery.


About you?

* Currently registered with, and able to maintain relevant professional association (AHPRA/AASW)
* Current driver's licence and a registered, comprehensively insured vehicle
* Current First Aid certificate (ongoing requirement)
* Working with Children Check
* Demonstrated ability in consultation, service development, planning and project implementation
* Demonstrated ability to manage people, achieve appropriate outcomes and build and lead respectful and high functioning teams
* Demonstrated ability to respond to complaints and critical incidents in a timely and professional manner
* Experience in developing and managing budgets for a number of service types
