Payroll Officer | Awards| Strong system knowledge South-East Sydney | Construction | End-to-End Payroll | Permanent Position About the Business For an established and growing business in the construction industry we are looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their finance team. The company operates across multiple sectors and offers a supportive environment focused on collaboration, quality, and continual improvement. The Opportunity This is a standalone payroll role, managing end-to-end payroll for around 200 employees across several entities. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role sits within a friendly and capable finance team. Key Responsibilities End-to-end processing of weekly and monthly payroll Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and regulations Maintain employee records in the payroll system Process payroll across multiple awards Manage timesheets and electronic time capture systems Monitor leave accruals and entitlements Prepare payroll-related reports (e.g. workers compensation, payroll tax) Support finance admin tasks such as invoicing and process improvements What You'll Bring Experience in a similar standalone payroll position Strong understanding of Australian payroll compliance, superannuation, and leave entitlements Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills Good knowledge of payroll legislation and reporting Confident communicator and comfortable working independently Bonus: Background in accounting or bookkeeping What's on Offer Office-based role in South-East Sydney, with flexibility for 1 WFH day/week post-probation Supportive and collaborative team environment Clear pathways for development and annual salary reviews Work with modern payroll and accounting systems Top 3 Benefits 1.
