Solution Architect Role
The Solution Architect role involves collaborating with internal teams, customers, and partners to formulate a comprehensive technical account plan/strategy and lead sales engagements to their technical conclusion. Drives success by understanding customer use cases and crafting technical solutions utilizing the Informatica Data Management Cloud. Educating both customers and internal stakeholders about the Informatica value proposition, engaging in in-depth architectural discussions, and ensuring that solutions are optimized for successful deployment and usage in the cloud. Proactively learns and actively contributes to a growth mindset. As a mentor to team members, plays a role in developing collective selling assets, knowledge repositories, and enablement materials. Contributes to pipeline generation through the delivery of technical workshops, active participation in social media promotions, content creation for external dissemination, and involvement in industry marketing events. Serves as a channel for feedback to the product management team and will support the Customer Success team through collaboration and supporting customer nurture activities to drive consumption. This role covers ANZ and can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne, where we have offices and a hybrid environment.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Theater: The Solution Architect will function as the main technical contact for the customer and report into specific theaters, areas, or regions.
2. Partner: The Solution Architect will focus on the enablement and success of Informatica channel or GSI partners. This will include planning & delivery of technical enablement through the GPTS enablement programs, driving certification goals as well as providing technical support to the partners as they ramp on both the technology and GTM.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
1. Intermediate certification on at least 1 cloud ecosystem and 1 data-related cloud technology.
2. Advanced knowledge of security for cloud computing.
3. Expert-level skills for Informatica services and product capabilities in respective major or area of focus.
4. Ability to engage VP/Director customer personas.
5. Credibility with data engineers, data scientists, and other technical personas.
6. Expert storytelling and presentation skills across multiple horizontal and vertically specific use cases.
7. Advanced technical knowledge of hybrid deployment of software solutions, data warehousing, database, and/or business intelligence software concepts and products.
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
9. Ability to create and execute on a strategic technical account plan.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Experience with Data Governance or Master Data Management.
2. Manage customer engagements independently.
3. Responsible for sharing best practices and content on competition and other ecosystem vendors.
4. Stay current on certification of services related to area of focus.
5. Perform all activities leading up to the delivery of a Customer-Specific Demo with no assistance including discovery, technical qualification, customer presentations, standard demo, and any related customer-facing communication.
6. Conduct technical workshops with customers independently.
7. Lead on RFP responses and POCs related to area of focus.
8. Partner with the CSM team to nurture activities including technical advisory, workshops, etc.
9. Ability to support demos at marketing events independently.
10. Customize, create, and present customer demos with minimal assistance.
11. Present existing EBC content either at Informatica or onsite with customers.
Education/Experience:
1. 8+ years of relevant experience in data management or related data solutions.
2. 10 years of prior presales/technical sales or consulting experience.
3. BA/BS or equivalent educational background is preferred.
